When I was a new mother, I made a rule that if a toy was plastic or had batteries I would have to think long and hard about whether we wanted it in our home. You know, those mums at the playground? The ones who only buy toys made of wood, all locally sourced and colored with organic plant dyes. That's me at heart. (#raisedbyhippies) Now the days of niave new parenting have come and gone and even though the nursery floor is probably littered with duplos, I still have ideals. When it comes to toys for my little ones, I think simplicity is the way to go. There's just something about a toy that was designed and built with true craftsmanship that makes you appreciate it so much more. I find that the less the toy does for itself, the more imagination it inspires in my children.

Today, I'm sharing a list of some of my favorite wooden toys for little ones. The great thing about these is most of them can be enjoyed by children of all different ages. All of our of kids play with our wooden cars from the baby up to the 11 year old! There truly is something timeless about wooden toys. Enjoy!

  1. I love these toys ideas, just what I needed!

  2. Many parents may have these toys in their homes, but not be aware of the toy recalls. Parents purchase toys that are supposed to encourage development and positive growth in their children, either physically or mentally.https://kidzgifts.co.uk/

  3. The first step is to take the toy out of the reach of all children. Once the child is cared for and the immediate danger has passed, you should report the toy to the appropriate authorities.Riesen TeddyBär
